Itching to be active?

In each of the following 4 sectors of physical activity, select the statement that best reflects your situation over the past 3 months.

1. At home

Mr. Do-It or Mrs. Busybee, that’s me! I’m a whirlwind around the house and there’s no shortage of things to do: wash the floors, wash the windows, wash the car, mow the lawn, play with the kids, you name it...

I do the housework or the yard work, but I don’t spend too much time on it every week. I get someone else to do the big jobs.

I’m not big on work in or around the house! I use cleaning services, and I hire a neighbourhood kid to mow the lawn, water the flowerbeds, and shovel the snow in winter.

2. On the way

Every day, I get around on foot or by bike. I never pass an opportunity to walk. I also take the stairs.

I walk or take my bike a few times a week over small distances.

I very rarely walk of take my bike.

3. At work

My job is physically demanding. I do a lot of walking, lift heavy loads, for example.

My job requires some physical activity, but not too much of the time.

I spend my days in front of a computer screen or behind a counter.

4. At play

In my free time, I like to be active. I love physical activity and I do a lot of it during the week and on weekends.

I tend to favour active forms of recreation, especially on weekends.

I prefer sit-down activities. Take a walk? Why?
