Take the Challenge As a proud sponsor of ACTI-MENU’s 2010 health promotion campaign and the 5/30 Health and Wellness Challenge, TELUS Health Solutions is excited to provide a mobile coaching service free of charge to 1000 TELUS mobile clients that choose to be part of this innovative motivational pilot-project. Participants will receive the service to reinforce their commitment to eating healthier, being more active and achieving a balanced lifestyle, in addition to evaluating the impact of mobile technology tools in helping Quebecers to develop healthy habits.
Change your habits The coaching service is a behaviour-changing tool that leverages mobile technology. It offers daily motivational tips via text messages over a 6 week period. Throughout the pilot-project, text messages are sent free of charge to participants at specifically prescribed intervals with messages of encouragement and tips to help participant stay on track and achieve their goals.
Be part of it! Between March 1st and April 11th 2010, you can receive motivational messages and tips through your mobile phone to get you started on a path towards a healthier and more active lifestyle. As of day one of the Challenge, you will receive daily motivational messages along with tips and helpful suggestions.

The mobile coaching service provides support delivered to your mobile phone to help you develop and maintain healthy habits, including:
• Helpful text messages reminding you of your goal
• Tips to help you eat a sufficient quantity of the healthy foods that your body needs every day
• Suggestions on how to squeeze 30 minutes of daily physical activity into your busy schedule • Cues to help you maintain a balanced lifestyle and manage stress

How to register! When you fill in the 5/30 Health and Wellness Challenge registration form you must enter your TELUS mobile phone number in the mobile phone number field and click on TELUS as your supplier. An opt-in option will appear where you can choose to become part of the coaching pilot-project.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the the coaching program available on all mobile phones? No, it’s only offered exclusively to the first 1000 TELUS mobile clients who sign up for the program during their registration for the Challenge. Their mobile handset must also have SMS text messaging capabilities.
Are there any fees related to the program? Taking part in TELUS’ coaching program is free. If you notice any text messaging fees related to the program in your monthly statement, please call the TELUS Client Support line by dialling 611 on your mobile phone.
How will I know when I get a coaching message from TELUS? Messages sent from TELUS relating to the program all start with “Challenge”
How do I stop getting motivational text messages? Text the word STOP by simply replying to one of the text messages and we’ll interrupt the service immediately.
